Siku chache zilizopita, naibu waziri wa elimu na mafunzo ya ufundi Mheshimiwa Philipo Mulugo alikuwa nchini Afrika Kusini kuwasilisha mada kwenye mkutano uliopewa jina la ‘Education for Employment, Developing Skills for Vocation at the Innovation Africa’ na kufanyika October 5 hadi 7 katika hoteli ya Westin Hotel, Cape Town.
Mkutano huo ulidhaminiwa na serikali ya Afrika Kusini na kuandaliwa kwa ushirikiano wa AfricanBrains na chuo kikuu cha Western Cape.
Awali akiongea kwa ‘kutojiamini’ naibu waziri huyo alijikuta akijichanganya pale aliposema, “Tanzania was formed in 1964 by unifying the Indian Ocean Islands of ‘Zimbabwe’ and Pemba and the mainland country formerly known as Tanganyika.
Kwa uhakika hilo ni kosa alilolifanya bila kufahamu na kama angekumbuka amesema nini angerekebisha kuwa alimaanisha Zanzibar na sio Zimbabwe.
Mara ngapi ulishawahi kujikuta umeongea kitu kwa makosa na kusahau kuwa umekosea mpaka mtu mwingine akuambie umekosea?
Kumekuwepo na mijadala mingi kuhusu hotuba hii huku wengi wakianza kumhukumu naibu waziri kuwa alimchemka kwa kutoijua vizuri nchi yake.
