Nairobi 9th September 2012…. Award winning, urban hip hop band P- unit have set the stage to delight their growing fan base with the release of a new hit song “YOU GUY” produced by Decimal Records.
The new hit song “ You Guy “ which features re-known artiste Collo
King begun to hit the airwaves last evening and is already featuring
prominently on the Top Ten most requested hit songs on popular FM
stations.
Speaking during the official release of the song on what inspired the unique style of the new song, Bon eye said, “Our
music prowess and choice to pursue musical career was influenced a lot
by the musical trends of the 90s and so with this track we want to take
our fans back into that era through a clever blend of ‘Ragamuffin’ and
our ‘Genge’ style of music.”
The new hit song follows the successful release In August of the up tempo dance song titled “FRESH” featuring P Unit
with popularly acclaimed Klear Kut, the 5 member Ugandan ensemble and
the contemporary love track “NATAKA KUKUPENDA” that features P –Unit
with Zambia’s K’millian and Links.
Gabu adds, “You
Guy” which features our friend and fellow artiste Collo King is our
third partnership of the year and our fans can expect to see more great
collabos with other talented local and Pan African artistes in the
upcoming months”
P Unit is set to drop their second album “Wagenge Hao Tena” in October this year. “To
launch our second album, we plan to have select local and international
tours to engage with our fans who have continued to support our music
over the years” concludes Frasha.
